The Washington Commanders are going through some major changes right now.
With the new ownership group came a new front office, a new coaching staff, and now, a new quarterback.
And with USC star Caleb Williams highly unlikely to be available at No. 2, the Commanders are doing their homework on the other elite quarterback prospects.
According to Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report, the Commanders will host J.J. McCarthy, Drake Maye, and Jayden Daniels for a visit next week.

For most of the process, they were expected to go with Daniels, the reigning Heisman trophy winner and one of the most explosive and electric dual-threat prospects in the game.
Now, McCarthy has officially entered the conversation as a potential top-five selection, and some believe he could go as high as No. 2 after the way he’s risen up most draft boards.
As for Maye, he’s been the New England Patriots’ main target at No. 3 for most of the process, and while the talent and upside are most definitely there, he doesn’t seem to be as NFL-ready as some of his colleagues.
The Commanders have plenty of weapons on offense and a new coordinator in Kliff Kingsbury, but they might still be a couple of pieces away from being able to keep up with the rest of the NFC East.
Even so, the decision they make for their new quarterback could pretty much make or break the franchise or at least hold them back for a little longer, so they need to get this right.
