It’s the beginning of a new day for the Tennessee Titans.
With Mike Vrabel no longer on the premises, the Titans will look to revamp their offense under offensive-minded HC Brian Callahan.
They’ve already added Tony Pollard and Calvin Ridley to the mix, and Will Levis showed signs of promise during his rookie season.
That’s why it only makes sense that they look to protect him by revamping their struggling offensive line.
With that in mind, it’s not much of a shock to see that Notre Dame star LT Joe Alt is now the odds-on favorite to be their first-round pick at No. 7 (via Justin Melo).

Alt was originally projected to go No. 5 to the Los Angeles Chargers, but with all the frenzy about J.J. McCarthy and the quarterback class, the Chargers could be tempted to trade back and get another offensive tackle like Penn State’s Olu Fashanu or a wide receiver like Malik Nabers.
Alt is considered the best offensive lineman in this class, and he’d fit Will Levis’ timeline and the Titans’ current needs, so he would be a no-brainer selection at No. 7 if he, indeed, falls right into their laps.
A physical force with an NFL pedigree from his father, John Alt, the Notre Dame product could be trusted to make an immediate impact.
Any young quarterback needs time and space to operate, and having a dominant force at the line of scrimmage like him could help Levis reach a whole new level in his second campaign in the league.
