The Los Angeles Dodgers have been one of the top regular-season teams in baseball over the past decade.
They are consistently among the top records in baseball and put themselves in a position to compete for a World Series.
Yet, for some reason, they have had no success over their last few playoff trips.
The Dodgers dropped the first two games at home in the NLDS to the Arizona Diamondbacks.
They now must win three straight to keep their season alive.
According to MLB Metrics, losing in the playoffs is nothing new to the Dodgers.

It is hard to figure out why the Dodgers have been so bad in the playoffs.
Whenever the games mean more, they seem to play worse.
During the regular season, the Dodgers had an 8-5 record against the Diamondbacks.
There is no question the more talented team is the Dodgers.
But, they are playing some of their worst baseball right now.
One position that has struggled for the Dodgers is starting pitching.
Clayton Kershaw started Game 1 while Bobby Miller threw Game 2.
They combined to throw only 2.0 innings while giving up 10 hits and nine earned runs.
The Dodgers have failed to lead at all in this series.
Arizona has jumped out to an early lead in both games and has seemingly demoralized the Dodgers.
Now the Dodgers need a major change of fortune if they hope to advance to the next round.
