After parting ways with the New England Patriots after serving as their head coach for decades, Bill Belichick surprisingly found himself without a job during the hiring cycle in the offseason.
Belichick’s tenure with the Patriots ended on a whimper after the team limped toward another losing record and missed the postseason for a second consecutive year.
The veteran head coach was rumored to be a candidate for teams like the Washington Commanders and Atlanta Falcons, but those franchises passed on him in favor of Dan Quinn and Raheem Morris, respectively.
Without a gig for the 2024 NFL season, Belichick is free to do whatever he wants until next offseason where his name will surely pop up again.
With the league focused on the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft, Belichick has been spending his time off taking in other sporting events.
Recently, he was spotted taking in Northwestern University’s women’s lacrosse championship match against Ohio State via Jake Epstein of The Daily Northwestern.
“Bill Belichick is here at Martin Stadium and ready to watch @NULax go up against Ohio State momentarily. Quite the championship-heavy crossover,” Epstein reported.

Belichick is an avid lacrosse fan and has been in touch with Northwestern head coach Kelly Amonte Hiller who reached out to him years ago for advice.
Hiller has coached Northwestern to eight national lacrosse titles, quite the feat and something that Belichick can relate to after leading the Patriots to six Super Bowl titles.
Winning at the highest levels for so long is something only a few individuals understand and it seems Belichick is in attendance to potentially witness more greatness from Hiller and her team.
