The Indianapolis Colts thought they had their savior in Andrew Luck.
Touted as Peyton Manning’s heir, he seemed poised to have a career for the ages.
Unfortunately, injuries and the Colts’ inability to protect him eventually took a toll on him and his body, forcing him to retire shortly before the start of the 2019 NFL season.
Back then, a tearful Luck admitted that he no longer enjoyed the game, mostly because of the countless ailments he had to endure.
But it’s been years since Luck walked away from the game, and he found himself getting right back in, at least in a different capacity.
He’s serving as a part-time coach for a high school football team in Palo Alto, California, as he missed the game so much and needed to have it integrated back into his life.
That’s why NFL analyst Evan Cohen believes that, given his obvious knowledge of the game, perhaps a college or NFL team should offer him a coaching position.
I’ve been saying this for a little bit now but someone needs to totally upset that norm and offer Andrew Luck a head coaching job in the NFL or NCAA. He is worth the massive risk. https://t.co/aRbXbTaNyz

It certainly wouldn’t be the first time that something like that happens, and multiple teams — at least in college — would be thrilled to have a guy like Andrew Luck as a part of their program.
Luck will always be one of the biggest what-ifs in NFL history, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a lot to give to the game.
Whether he has the desire to get back to that kind of high-pressure environment after so many years away from it remains to be seen.
