The Buffalo Bills are desperately in need of wide receiver help in the upcoming NFL Draft after trading Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans and watching No. 2 receiver Gabe Davis sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency.
Buffalo has an excess of picks on Day 2 and Day 3, with a pair of picks in the fourth and sixth rounds, as well as three picks in the fifth round that they could use to select wide receivers if they so choose.
Justin M of The Draft Network shared an interesting connection that Rutgers WR prospect Jaquae Jackson has with the Bills, nothing that he is friends with Bills safety Damar Hamlin, and said, “The Bills took me to dinner before my Pro Day. That went very well. Damar Hamlin is a friend of mine. I grew up with Dane Jackson as well, who used to play for them.”
Good read from @JustinM_NFL

Jackson added, “I’m trying to keep that Pittsburgh to Buffalo pipeline going,” hinting he’d love to be selected by the Bills.
Jackson played one season at Rutgers in 2023 and put up just 22 catches for 361 yards and a touchdown after transferring from Division-II California University of Pennsylvania, where he played for five years.
The Bills need all the help they can get at the wide receiver spot, and Jackson will certainly get a look as a potential Day 3 pick despite his lackluster production at Rutgers.
The existing connections to the Bills certainly help, but Justin M also highlighted how Jackson has had local days with the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants, and New York Jets already as well.
