The Denver Broncos are heading down what appears to be a familiar path.
After ending the 2022 season with a 5-12 record, the Broncos were expected to turn things around.
Russell Wilson was slated to take a step forward this year, Sean Payton was going to right the ship, and the Broncos were going to contend for the AFC West title.
However, things haven’t exactly turned out that way for the Broncos, resulting in frustration across the board.
In a recent interview, Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph said that he is “p****** off,” according to Zac Stevens.

Not only do the Broncos have a record of 1-4, but their defense is among the worst in the league.
They have allowed 36.2 points per game this season, the highest total across the board.,
For a defense that gave up 21.1 points per game in 2022, this is a major regression.
The Broncos’ defense was supposed to be the aspect of their team that was a cut above the rest.
If Wilson was going to take a step forward, the defense was expected to be the reason he was carried to a better year.
Alas, the Broncos are now at the bottom of the AFC West, and their playoff hopes are effectively over.
The AFC West was going to be a tough fight for the Broncos, and unfortunately, they haven’t risen to the occasion.
There are many potential questions to be asked of the Broncos staff after this season.
Considering Joseph’s comments, there are likely similar frustrations among his coaching counterparts.
