The Dallas Cowboys are finally making some moves.
Up until this day, they had only signed veteran LB Eric Kendricks, being the most passive team in free agency all around the league.
Now, according to a report by Todd Archer of ESPN, they’ve finally addressed some of their issues at running back.
The Cowboys have signed running back Royce Freeman to a one-year deal, according to source. Freeman had 319 yards on 77 carries with 2 touchdowns last year for the Los Angeles Rams. He was 3rd round pick of Denver in ’18.

The Cowboys signed veteran RB Royce Freeman to a one-year deal.
Freeman entered the league as a third-round pick by the Denver Broncos back in 2018.
He was mostly a backup in Mile High, making eight starts and running for 1,187 yards and eight touchdowns.
Things didn’t improve much for him when he joined the Houston Texans, logging 75 carries in two years for just 209 yards.
Freeman later spent one season with the Carolina Panthers, rushing for 77 yards, before joining the Los Angeles Rams last season.
He’s coming off rushing for 319 yards and two scores for Sean McVay’s team.
Needless to say, this isn’t the kind of addition that moves the needle for America’s Team.
He’s just there for depth and, as a bit of an insurance policy, adding a veteran player on a team-friendly deal without having to spend a lot of money.
This has been a disappointing offseason for a team that was supposed to go ‘all-in’ after their heartbreaking postseason loss, according to team owner Jerry Jones.
The Cowboys are still strongly expected to get a running back in the upcoming edition of the NFL Draft, and there are still some rumblings about a potential reunion with Ezekiel Elliott.
