With about a week left until the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft gets underway on April 25, there’s still no telling where the top quarterbacks available will land in the first few picks of the draft.
Although Caleb Williams, out of the University of Southern California, is expected to be selected No. 1 overall by the Chicago Bears, it’s uncertain where the other top quarterbacks will go.
Reigning Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels is one of the quarterbacks expected to be taken after Williams, whether it be No. 2 to the Washington Commanders, No. 3 to the New England Patriots, or beyond.
Daniels and Drake Maye are the two quarterbacks seemingly getting the most consideration to land in the nation’s capital, and the Commanders seem to plan on taking one of the two when they are on the clock at No. 2.
Former NFL quarterback Chase Daniel believes that Daniels has “elite” talent and is bound to be a star on the next level.
I really think Jayden Daniels is going to be ELITE.
The subtle movement in the pocket and the way he goes thru progressions are what separates him.

Along with Daniels and Maye, former University of Michigan star J.J. McCarthy is also a quarterback who could end up being in the top three, as he’s gotten a lot of buzz lately, which has improved his draft stock on a lot of mock draft boards by the experts.
However, in all likelihood, Daniels is headed to Washington or New England to start his NFL career, with both storied franchises needing to start over at quarterback, and drafting one as talented as the LSU product is a step in the right direction.
