The Indianapolis Colts didn’t hesitate to take Anthony Richardson in the first round of the NFL Draft, and they knew it could be a bit of a roller-coaster ride.
Richardson was the most polarizing QB prospect in his class, although he also had the highest ceiling.
It didn’t take long before he showed why, making an impact right away for Shane Steichen’s team.
However, as good as he’s been, he’s barely been able to play due to multiple ailments, and we won’t see him for the next month at the very least.
Richardson suffered an AC joint injury during Sunday’s clash vs. the Tennessee Titans, and the Colts have decided to place him on the Injured Reserve (IR) list, thus making him miss the next four games (Via Adam Schefter).

The Florida product had already missed some time with a concussion.
He puts his body on the line and his style of play favors physicality, making the most of his athletic traits.
But being available is a big part of the job, and he’ll need to learn how to take better care of his body if he wants to make it in this league.
All young QBs go through growing pains, and he won’t be the exception to that rule.
Hopefully, this won’t be a recurring issue throughout the course of his career, as he’s been quite fun to watch in the limited sample size we’ve had.
Now, Gardner Minshew will continue to take the reins of the offense for their games vs. the Jaguars, Browns, Saints, and Panthers.
