After a season filled with disappointment after having Super Bowl aspirations coming into the 2023 campaign, the New York Jets have been hard at work during this NFL offseason in order to right the ship as quickly as possible to prepare to have superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers healthy and back under center next season.
The Jets have made an effort this offseason to put some more talent around Rodgers, with the team bringing in veteran wide receiver Mike Williams and left tackle Tyron Smith, and it seems as though the team might have big plans for the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft.
New York currently owns the No. 10 overall pick in the draft, and all signs seem to be pointing at the team drafting a player on the offensive side of the football, with one player, in particular, being mentioned more often than not when it comes to the Jets.
Apparently, the Jets could be leaning toward drafting a tight end with the No. 10 overall pick, and that player is more than likely Brock Bowers from the University of Georgia.
General manager Joe Douglas seems to have tipped his hand about the team’s intentions to take Bowers, speaking with Connor Hughes of SNY via Paul Andrew Esden Jr.
#Jets GM Joe Douglas told @Connor_J_Hughes that the ‘right type of tight end can be a real weapon’ COUGH COUGH Brock Bowers?
JD seemed very open to the idea of adding a TE who can create mismatch problems & put stress on opposing defenses. He name dropped teams like the #Chiefs,… pic.twitter.com/dXvE3owi6S

There’s also a chance the Jets could take one of the top receivers in the draft, as this draft class is among the most talented in recent memory, with some potential game-changers that could be had at No. 10.
However, all signs continue to point to Bowers, which would be a smart move for the Jets.
