The Dallas Cowboys are heading into a true make-or-break season with both head coach Mike McCarthy and quarterback Dak Prescott on expiring contracts after another devastating playoff loss at the hands of the Green Bay Packers.
The lack of playoff success has been unacceptable for such a proud and accomplished franchise, and former Cowboys’ QB Troy Aikman had something to say about the team’s lack of success in the postseason.
The Athletic’s Jon Machota shared a clip of Aikman speaking about the frustration surrounding the team’s recent playoff woes, and the legendary QB said “I just know that the people in the building want to win more than anyone outside the building.”

“People are passionate and I understand that as well, but I do believe that whatever the decisions are that are made, they’re doing everything they can to play their best,” Aikman added.
Aikman led this team to three Super Bowl victories in the mid-90s, so he knows better than anyone what it takes to get it done.
It was a graceful and patient response from Aikman, who did a masterful job dodging this question without throwing anybody under the bus, particularly Dak Prescott, who he quickly rushed out of the interview to pass the baton to for questioning.
Prescott reportedly just had the first meeting with owner Jerry Jones regarding his contract status, and he’ll likely have to lead this team to a least a playoff victory or two in order to stick around in Dallas much longer.
