The Los Angeles Chargers had to hit reset on their franchise once they flamed out during the 2023 NFL season.
The Chargers were expected to compete for a Super Bowl, but instead they struggled on both sides of the field and walked into the offseason with plenty of questions to answer.
Team owner Dean Spanos cleaned house, firing former general manager and head coach Tom Telesco and Brandon Staley.
Spanos then made a splash in the offseason when he managed to lure away former Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh to lead the Chargers’ sideline.
Harbaugh was a highly-coveted name during the head coaching hiring cycle after he led the Wolverines to the 2023 CFP Championship.
Before winning the national title, Harbaugh vowed he would get a tattoo if his program won it all and he finally delivered on his promise via Action Network.
“Jim Harbaugh followed through on his promise to get a tattoo if Michigan won the national championship.”

The video came courtesy of cornerback Mike Sainristil who played for Harbaugh last season and is expected to hear his name called on Day 2 of the 2024 NFL Draft.
In the clip, Harbaugh can be seen getting the Michigan logo and their record tattooed on his arm to pay homage to his team’s season.
He takes the tattoo in stride and even jokes about getting more done after this first one is finished.
A magnetic personality who can coach all levels of football, Harbaugh now faces the challenge of getting the Chargers back into the postseason and it’ll be fun to see how he fares in his first year back in the NFL.
