In less than a week, the 2024 NFL Draft will commence and the Washington Commanders won’t have to wait long to turn in their pick as they own the No. 2 selection overall.
The Commanders will be spearheaded by a new regime of general manager Adam Peters and head coach Dan Quinn.
Washington has numerous needs on their young and inexperienced roster, but the most glaring one is the quarterback position.
There is an overwhelming sense that the Commanders will take one of the highly-touted quarterbacks in this year’s class, especially after they sent away last year’s starter Sam Howell to the Seattle Seahawks.
USC’s Caleb Williams is widely expected to go first overall to the Chicago Bears, leaving Washington with a choice between LSU’s Jayden Daniels and UNC’s Drake Maye.
There were reports that surfaced about Daniels being upset that the team brought in multiple quarterbacks at the same time for a visit, but his quarterbacks coach Ryan Porter shot down any speculation via Mad Dog Sports Radio.
“Jayden doesn’t reveal that type of information,” Porter said.
Was Jayden Daniels bothered by the Commanders bringing in four QBs at once?

Porter sounds confident that even if Daniels was bothered by the situation he wouldn’t have leaked that sort of information.
Porter adds that Daniels didn’t even let him or his father know that he was going to transfer from Arizona State to LSU before last season.
Either way, Daniels is sitting in a great position as he shouldn’t have to wait long to hear his name called on draft night.
The dual-threat quarterback is one of the most talented prospects in the draft and it’ll be exciting to see where he’ll be playing.
