Following their injury-riddled 2022 NFL season, the Los Angeles Rams proved the football world wrong in 2023 as they made a surprising run to the playoffs despite overhauling their roster the previous offseason.
The Rams made their startling comeback behind a revamped Sean McVay offense that emphasized a tough and physical run game led by Kyren Williams and their offensive line.
However, a healthy Matthew Stafford made all the difference as he was back to slinging the ball downfield and hitting Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua for huge plays.
Now, going into the 2024 NFL season Los Angeles is poised to build on their momentum and make another postseason run assuming they can stay healthy.
The organization has been fortunate enough to have their stars healthy, though the franchise had to deal with the passing of former quarterback Roman Gabriel.
When Gabriel’s passing was announced, the team made sure to pay their respects via the Rams’ official Twitter account.
“We mourn the loss of Rams legend and football pioneer, Roman Gabriel. We extend our condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time,” the Rams tweeted.

Gabriel was the second overall pick in the 1962 NFL Draft and played for the Rams for 11 seasons.
The signal caller made history when he became the first player of Filipino-American descent to play for the league.
During his career, Gabriel racked up an MVP award, NFL Comeback Player of the Year award, one First-Team All-Pro nod, two Second-Team All-Pro nods and four Pro Bowl appearances.
It’s a sad day for the organization and hopefully Gabriel’s family and loved ones are doing well in the wake of his passing.
