The New York Jets have officially reached that point in which one single move could either make or break the entire organization.
They’re on the verge of Super Bowl contention, and adding another star could propel them to the top, but getting the wrong guy could also set them back years.
That’s why they’re being so cautious about what they’re going to do with the No. 10 pick.
For most of the process, they’ve been tied to Georgia star Brock Bowers, and a report from Rich Cimini of ESPN reveals that he’s still the likeliest candidate:
#Jets insider: The Bowers buzz is real, but WR and OL also in play … A potential trade-up scenario … Strong signals of a late-round QB … Zach Wilson situation could impact team in future … The man behind the new/old helmet logo. https://t.co/sFAK26bIOu

Some believe that the Jets should play it safely here and go with an offensive lineman to protect Aaron Rodgers, but there’s just too much to like about Bowers.
While not the best or most willing blocker at the position, he’s a generational talent as a pass-catching tight end, a perennial threat in the open field and the end zone, and a guy who just looks tailor-made to get the football from one of the most talented and accurate pure passers this game has ever seen.
Bowers has turned plenty of heads during his days in college, and he has an NFL-ready body and the instincts to become a difference-maker right out of the gate.
So, even though he might not be the wisest choice in terms of what the team needs, he could be the guy who takes them from a ‘very good team’ into the team to beat, and the Jets seem heavily inclined to test their luck with him.
