Several prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft could make an immediate difference to the team that selects them.
One of the most sought-after positions in this draft is wide receiver, given the amount of talented prospects in the class.
Malik Nabers is among the best of the bunch, and many analysts believe he could be the first or second receiver taken off the board.
Charles Davis, a former NFL defensive back, recently sat down with Ari Meirov to discuss what makes Nabers different than other receivers in the class.
“He runs every route like it’s personal,” Davis said, adding, “He thinks everything is a slight if you’re not putting him at the top.”
What makes #LSU WR Malik Nabers different? “He runs every route like it’s personal. … He’s Michael Jordan-esque in one way: He thinks everything is a slight if you’re not putting him at the top. … We talk about Marvin Harrison Jr.? It ticks him off.” ~ Charles Davis pic.twitter.com/eirc9ReND2

Davis highlighted the fact that Marvin Harrison Jr. is often talked about as a better receiver prospect than Nabers, something Nabers doesn’t like.
In Davis’ eyes, Nabers has a mentality similar to Michael Jordan.
He believes he is the best, and will do anything possible to prove it to the people around him.
Whether it is Nabers or Harrison who is drafted first, both players are slated to come into the NFL and be a WR1 on their respective teams.
This is a growing trend in the NFL, and it speaks to the consistently growing competition at the collegiate level.
Collegiate defensive backs are only getting better, which helps receivers have more talented competition every week, making them more and more prepared for the NFL.
How many other receivers in this year’s class will provide an instant impact to their teams?
