The New York Giants have been a bit of a question mark leading to the NFL Draft.
While some argue that they would gladly take a Daniel Jones replacement in the first round, the way things are shaping up right now makes that kind of unlikely.
Multiple teams are desperately trying to get into the top five, thus making the Giants’ chances to get their guy at No. 6 quite slim.
With that in mind, it seems like they’re ready to pivot and pursue one of the top-notch playmaking wide receivers instead.
According to a report by Doug Rush, the Giants currently ‘covet’ LSU star Malik Nabers.
Nabers, multiple sources told SNY, is a player the Giants covet. Most around the league expect him to be New York’s pick if they can’t get a quarterback (more and more unlikely by the day).

He adds they’re going to go with him unless they can either trade up or get the quarterback they want at No. 6, which seems less likely by the day.
Also, they could always target the likes of Bo Nix or Michael Penix Jr. later in the second round, assuming they fall there.
There have been conflicting reports about the front office’s feelings regarding Daniel Jones.
Whatever the case, they can’t get rid of him for another season, so they could always pursue a replacement for him later in free agency, via trade, or in the upcoming NFL Draft.
Nabers, on the other hand, could be a generational talent at wide receiver, so it’s not like they would be settling at all with that pick.
Perhaps he’s just what Jones needs to get over the hump and look the part as a franchise quarterback.
