When a team acquires a veteran quarterback like Russell Wilson, the next natural move is to get him some more weapons.
This is what the Pittsburgh Steelers may be looking into.
According to Dane Brugler, an NFL Draft insider at The Athletic, the Steelers love wide receiver Brian Thomas out of LSU:
“This might be his floor…I’ve heard they love Brian Thomas…I think they’d love to just hit a home run with a guy like Brian Thomas in the first round,” Brugler stated on the Yahoo Fantasy Sports Show Podcast.
Dane Brugler says he has heard the Steelers love LSU’s WR Brian Thomas: “This might be his floor. If he doesn’t go off the board before 20, I do think this might be the floor for him. I’ve heard they love Brian Thomas. Everyone wants them to take another character faller on Day… https://t.co/Pjc8cqfnJT

With names like Marvin Harrison Jr., Rome Odunze, and Malik Nabers dominating the draft talk at the receiver position, it is easy for a guy like Brian Thomas to get lost.
But, the All-SEC receiver is one of the best overall players in this draft.
He led the FBS in receiving touchdowns (17) last year and really flashed his 4.33 speed.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are in the process of doing some retooling at that position too.
They traded slot receiver Diontae Johnson to the Carolina Panthers, and they also released veteran Allen Robinson.
It is very clear that this particular position is one of great need.
Russell Wilson would welcome this move with open arms.
He and head coach Mike Tomlin already have two bruising running backs in Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren.
They added a versatile piece in veteran Cordarrelle Patterson this offseason.
Tight end Pat Freiermuth is a quality pass-catcher too.
But again, this offense needs help at the receiver spot with only George Pickens and maybe Van Jefferson being the only two capable veterans on the roster.
Drafting Brian Thomas would be the right call.
