The Dallas Cowboys entered the season with the same lingering question: Will Dak Prescott finally go back to his best, or will he hold the team back again?
Through five weeks, it seems like we’re not going to get stellar play from Dak any time soon, as he’s struggled mightily in their two losses, especially when they needed him to lead the offense.
However, former star Richard Sherman actually blames their defense for the way they’ve looked thus far.
In his latest appearance on “Undisputed,” Sherman stated that he believes Prescott is a better quarterback than people give him credit for, and urged them to stop putting all the blame on him.

He says that Dak is going to be there for the next five or six years, so people should just get used to that.
Moreover, he stated that this defense should stop calling themselves elite because they’ve been “solid” and have looked great vs. bad teams and bad vs. good teams.
Sherman talked about how he won a Super Bowl despite having a quarterback who did “just enough,” taking yet another shot at Russell Wilson.
The former Seattle Seahawks star stated that elite defenses take care of business and make sure to put their QBs in a position to win, which is what he did with the Legion of Boom by holding Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers to just 17 points.
It’s kind of ironic to see that Sherman constantly takes shots at Wilson and then goes out of his way to defend Dak, but he does have a valid point when he says that the Cowboys’ defense hasn’t stepped up to the task.
