While Kirk Cousins may not be a truly elite NFL quarterback, he has been a good one for many years.
In 12 pro seasons, he has been named to the Pro Bowl four times, and he led the league in completion percentage during the 2015 season.
But he isn’t immune from criticism, and per NBACentral, one anonymous NBA player gave Cousins a backhanded compliment by saying the QB is his favorite non-NBA athlete while also blasting the Michigan State University product.
“He gets paid and doesn’t have to win or don’t have to do anything and made $400 million off of one playoff win. Legend,” the anonymous player said in The Athletic’s poll.

Cousins has made the playoffs four times in his pro career, and he has won just one of those contests.
That lone postseason win came during the 2019 campaign when he led the Minnesota Vikings to an overtime victory over Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints.
In that game, he had a very memorable moment when he threw the game-winning touchdown to Kyle Rudolph.

Cousins was having a marvelous 2023 season and appeared primed to lead Minnesota back to the playoffs when he tore his Achilles in late October.
He is now a member of the Atlanta Falcons after joining them in free agency several weeks ago, and he will look to get the Falcons to the playoffs by winning the weakest division in the NFL.
The Falcons got him by signing him to a four-year deal that will be worth $180 million.

However, there are now reports that they may have violated the league’s tampering rules, and they could soon lose some draft picks as a result.
