Future Hall-of-Famer Aaron Donald retired from the NFL earlier this offseason after an absolutely stellar career with the Rams.
The three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year was truly one of the best defensive players of all time.
But losing him is a pretty big deal for the Rams.
Again, this is one of the best interior defensive linemen in history.
However, current Rams defensive lineman Kobie Turner knows that he and the rest of the defense just need to be themselves, and they will be fine.
“I don’t need to be anyone else other than who I am,” the second-year player told The Athletic.

Turner could very well be the next Aaron Donald in the Rams’ organization.
He had a fantastic rookie season a year ago that saw him lead all rookies in sacks (9.0).
It’s going to be up to the likes of Turner and other veterans like linebacker Troy Reeder, cornerbacks Tre’Davious White and cornerback Darious Williams, as well as safety Kamren Curl to help guide this defense moving forward.
Over the last few years, head coach Sean McVay has lost defensive cornerstones like Donald, Jalen Ramsey, Leonard Floyd, Jordan Fuller, and other key pieces.
In fact, this team hasn’t been without Donald since they were in St. Louis.
But for Rams fans, what Turner said should make them excited for this next chapter of the Los Angeles Rams.
It’s that kind of attitude that can really jumpstart a new defense and propel them forward into a solid year.
