There isn’t much doubt going into the NFL Draft about who will be the No. 1 overall selection.
That title should belong to USC’s Caleb Williams, assuming the Bears don’t throw their fanbase for a loop.
The question is which of the other quarterback prospects will follow Williams and go No. 2 overall to Washington?
According to ESPN BET, the reigning Heisman Trophy winner in LSU’s Jayden Daniels is expected to be drafted No. 2 overall (-500).

This seems like the most logical move given Daniels’ skill-set and ability to do everything well.
After all, the 2023 AP College Football Player of the Year finished in the top five among qualified starting quarterbacks in terms of passing touchdowns, passing yards, and QBR.
He also ran for over 1,100 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground.
He is multi-dimensional and can beat opposing defenses in multiple ways.
That is what is so special about him.
Now, this would then leave quarterback-needy teams like the Patriots, Raiders, Broncos, and Vikings with prospects like Drake Maye, J.J. McCarthy, Michael Penix Jr., and Bo Nix.
Who knows?
Maybe a team like the New York Giants decides that Daniel Jones isn’t the answer for them anymore, so they decide to take a new quarterback.
Nothing is set in stone.
But as the draft gets closer, it feels like Jayden Daniels is the guy for the Commanders at No. 2.
Whether it is because of rumors, reports, odds, or all three combined, the picture is getting more and more clear.
Caleb Williams to Chicago and Daniels very possibly to Washington.
