The New York Giants could go either way in the NFL Draft.
Some argue that they would be better off by taking Malik Nabers with the No. 6 selection, but it seems like they’re leaning toward finding a Daniel Jones replacement.
Should that be the case, it now seems like they’re keeping tabs on Drake Maye, who’s projected to go No. 3.
According to a report by Danny Abriano of SNY, the Giants are no longer as high on J.J. McCarthy as they are on Maye, and there’s been a “growing buzz” about them trying to trade up to get him.

Maye has been the New England Patriots’ pick for most of the process, and it might take a lot to get them to move down from that third slot.
Also, regardless of who they pick, the Giants have one of the least impressive wide receiver rooms in the game, and they would still have to address that situation later in the NFL Draft.
Maye is one of the most promising prospects we’ve seen in years, although it seems like he’s not as NFL-ready as other players and should be on the sidelines for a year or two, which is something the Giants could afford, as Jones will still be there for at least another season.
