Not only did Lions fans get an early Christmas present by seeing their team signed All-Pro receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown to a new four-year deal Wednesday, but they have just received a second one.
According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, Detroit has agreed to terms on another four-year deal worth $112 million for All-Pro offensive tackle Penei Sewell.
Still just 23 years of age, Sewell will be a cornerstone piece moving forward into the future for Detroit.

Sewell is now the highest-paid offensive lineman in the league and is obviously quite valued on Dan Campbell’s squad.
The former Oregon Duck has missed just one game in three years and has started all 50 games that he has played in.
After reaching the NFC Championship Game for the first time since the 1950s, Detroit is looking to capitalize on the here and now.
On the Lions’ offense, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Penei Sewell, running back Jahmyr Gibbs, and tight end Sam LaPorta are all either All-Pro or Pro Bowl-caliber players under the age of 25.
Not to mention the fact that other 1,000-yard running back David Montgomery is just 26 years of age.
To be great in the NFL, you need to have a well-built team.
You need to have depth at all the key positions around an above-average quarterback.
That is exactly what the Detroit Lions have on the offensive side.
They know what they have along the trenches and with their skill-position players.
Dan Campbell is ready to win right now, and GM Brad Holmes is not afraid to pay up for his own talent.
