The Dallas Cowboys were supposed to make a statement during their trip to the Bay Area.
That primetime game vs. the San Francisco 49ers was their best chance to prove that they were for real and stood a chance to beat their nemesis once and for all.
Instead, they were run off the field on national television, and now the narrative around them is whether they’re going to make the playoffs.
When asked about the situation, former NFL legend Deion Sanders had an interesting take on “Inside the NFL.”

Sanders stated that the Niners have several players who you know what they’re going to give you on any given Sunday.
As for the Cowboys, he believes they have some players who were supposed to be “dogs,” yet they didn’t show up or even raise their hands when their names were called.
Sanders believes the Cowboys didn’t even fight back, which actually made him feel bad for Dak Prescott, as he believes he’s better than what he showed in that game.
Coach Prime also stated that he thinks Prescott is going to silence the critics eventually, but it definitely wasn’t a good look.
The Niners have taken three straight from the Cowboys, and the losses just keep getting uglier.
There’s some animosity between the two teams, but it’s not like the Cowboys have done much to show that on the field.
As good as the Cowboys have looked vs. non-contending teams, they still need to prove themselves against the actual contenders.
