One fun part about the NFL Draft is listening to veteran players talk about who they want their team to select.
Fans got that opportunity Thursday as Saints Pro Bowl edge-rusher Cam Jordan was on NFL Network’s Good Morning Football to speak on who he hopes his team will draft at pick No. 14 overall.
“I’m very biased…Run me the big d-tackle. I like the Florida State kid…I really like a Texas d-tackle, but I’m not putting names out there,” Jordan said on the morning of the draft.

Of course, Jordan is referring to Florida State’s Jared Verse and Texas’s Byron Murphy II.
Verse made back-to-back First-Team All-America teams the last two seasons after recording 18.0 sacks and nearly 30 tackles for loss.
The Albany transfer turned himself into one of the best defensive line prospects in America after starting off at a smaller school.
NFL teams love players who go through the grind and struggle to become the best.
Byron Murphy II was the Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year in 2023.
He set a career-high with 5.0 sacks and 8.5 tackles for loss for the Longhorns.
Whenever a player over 300 pounds can bring that much pressure to the opposing quarterback, they are going to get their fair share of suitors.
If the Saints added one of those players to their defense that already has a future Hall-of-Famer in Jordan, along with All-Pro players in Demario Davis, Tyrann Mathieu and Marshon Lattimore, it would be special.
New Orleans is definitely a team to watch at pick No. 14 overall.
