The Philadelphia Eagles have more talent on their roster than most teams in the league.
GM Howie Roseman built his team from the inside out, focusing on the offensive and defensive lines, and it has paid off big time.
As a matter of fact, that’s on full display multiple times in every Eagles game, as their infamous “tush push” — also known as the “brotherly shove” — play is always effective.
Some coaches and players have complained about the play and even tried to get the league to ban it in the offseason, but to no avail.
That’s why Eagles star Darius Slay took to his podcast to ask everybody to stop complaining and just accept the fact that the Eagles do it better than anybody else (via The Volume).
“We just do it better than y’all. Just accept it and it is what it is.”

Slay explains that it’s not cheating or rugby, adding that they practice the play a lot and are very good at it; that’s it.
He also added that having a quarterback who can squat 600 pounds obviously helps, as it’s definitely not easy to stop Jalen Hurts from getting that one inch they need to get the first down.
To put it in context, Slay explained that Hurts can actually squat a vending machine, a zebra, or a baby rhino, so maybe other quarterbacks should hit the weight room a little harder.
The Eagles aren’t doing anything illegal.
And while the league is reportedly going to look over the play again in the offseason, they shouldn’t ban it just because a team has found a way to be good at it.
