It has been a very long time for Rams fans since they have seen what they could potentially see on Thursday night in the first round of the NFL Draft.
According to The Athletic‘s Dianna Russini, the Rams are attempting to trade up into the top 10 of the first round.
The franchise has not picked in the first round since 2016, which was a year before they hired Sean McVay.
The Rams, who haven’t picked in the first round since 2016, are calling to get into the top 10, per sources.

The Rams are finally trying to be aggressive through the draft, as opposed to the opposite, which is why they haven’t picked in the first round under McVay.
Now, two immediate positions come to mind for Los Angeles.
They could use a tight end, especially after 31-year-old Tyler Higbee tore his ACL and MCL in the playoffs against the Lions back in January.
Could they be trying to draft star Georgia tight end Brock Bowers with that potential pick?
It is hard to find a more complete player in this draft than the two-time All-American.
Or, could they be looking to add another wide receiver?
Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua could very well be the best wide receiver duo in the league.
Imagine if the Rams drafted Marvin Harrison Jr. to play alongside those two and catch passes from quarterback Matthew Stafford.
In a division with the San Francisco 49ers, the Rams will look to load up on even more firepower.
That is if they can agree to terms on a deal to move up inside the top 10.
