Coming into the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft on Thursday night, the consensus is that Marvin Harrison Jr. is the best wide receiver in this draft class and will be taken as high as No. 4 overall by the Arizona Cardinals.
Although there are many talented wide receivers in this draft, with Malik Nabers and Rome Odunze also likely to go high in the first round, Harrison is the cream of the crop and could be a star for an NFL team right out of the gate.
With Harrison well aware of his star power and his value, the son of the Indianapolis Colts legend has done something interesting that could start a trend in the NFL.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Harrison hasn’t signed a preliminary NFLPA licensing agreement that all draftees sign, which allows the league to monetize their likeness once they are picked in the draft.

This could be a way for Harrison to try to get compensated before signing this agreement, which every player in the draft signs.
With college players knowing their value more than ever and wanting every penny they can when it comes to using their likeness, Harrison could be angling to make some more money here, and it is hard to argue with the stance if it ends up working.
As for his immediate future, all signs continue to point to Harrison being the first non-quarterback taken in the draft, with the Cardinals more than likely bringing him in to be a target downfield for star quarterback Kyler Murray.
