The Dallas Cowboys enter 2024 with the same hopes every single year.
The same Super Bowl hopes that never seem to come to fruition.
This has been the case since the mid-90s.
But, this particular year will have even more pressure on it considering this is the final year of quarterback Dak Prescott’s current contract.
There are some around the NFL that believe Dallas should pay Prescott and keep him in the fold.
One of those people is former Super Bowl-winning head coach Brian Billick.
“Give him the money…What’s the alternative,” Billick asked on Fox Sports’s The Carton Show.

If Owner and GM Jerry Jones decides that this year is going to be the last with Prescott, he will either need to select a quarterback for the future at some point in this current draft, or he and head coach Mike McCarthy may decide to go with young quarterback Trey Lance.
The problem is, the Cowboys know what they have in Prescott.
He is coming off of his best NFL season yet, which saw him set career-highs in completions and touchdowns.
The All-Pro has a lot of experience, has only had one losing season in his career, and he has Dallas well-positioned to contend for years to come in the NFC.
The only question is whether or not Dallas wants him for years to come.
After all, he is just 2-5 in the playoffs as a starter.
But the Cowboys need to make a decision, and they are going to need to make it fast.
