Other than watching actual game film on players before the NFL Draft, teams like to analyze them during their pre-draft workouts to get an up-to-date evaluation.
However, in some cases, players choose not to work out.
One of those players this year was Ohio State’s Marvin Harrison Jr.
He was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals with the No. 4 overall pick last week.
Cardinals GM Monti Ossenfort was asked Monday if Harrison not working out made them think twice about picking him.
“He made the decisions that he made…We had that tape from last year when he ran routes at C.J. Stroud’s pro day…We felt very strongly about our evaluation of Marvin…What really sealed it for us was when Marvin came in for a 30 visit,” Ossenfort told SiriusXM NFL Radio.
“We had plenty to evaluate Marvin on”

The Cardinals already saw everything that they needed to see from the All-American wide receiver.
With that position being a really important need for the Cardinals, they made the slam-dunk choice to draft him fairly quickly last Thursday night.
Now, he will get to play with Kyler Murray out in the valley.
The good news for Harrison is that Murray already has plenty of experience playing with great wide receivers.
Earlier in his career, he played with Larry Fitzgerald and DeAndre Hopkins.
One is one of the greatest wide receivers in history, and the other should be on his way to Canton, Ohio at some point too.
Look for Murray and Harrison to establish an elite connection for years to come out in the NFC West.
