The San Francisco 49ers have yet to lose this year.
And if you were to take last year’s regular season as well, you’d see that Brock Purdy has never lost a regular-season game as a starter, and that’s simply crazy.
That’s why the panelists at The Carton Show made it a legitimate debate about whether they’d choose Brock Purdy or Patrick Mahomes right now.
Plaxico Burress stated that he’d rather have Mahomes in a one-game situation, and obviously, his résumé speaks for itself.
Craig Carton, however, stated that he was talking about this instant, this moment, which is why he would rather have the guy who hasn’t lost.
Patrick Mahomes or Brock Purdy?

Of course, we have to take a lot of factors into consideration here.
Granted that Purdy has been great for the Niners, but we’re talking about the reigning Super Bowl champion.
Also, the only game the Kansas City Chiefs lost was a game in which they didn’t have Travis Kelce or Chris Jones, all while the Niners have the most stacked roster in the game, especially offensively.
Not to take anything away from Brock Purdy, but one can only imagine the kind of numbers Patrick Mahomes would put up with stars of the likes of Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle, and Brandon Aiyuk.
Also, there’s a big chance that these two quarterbacks will get a chance to settle this debate once and for all this season, as they look like the best teams in their respective conferences and could square off in the Super Bowl.
