The New York Jets were among the busiest teams in the NFL during the offseason.
They made several free-agent acquisitions, as well as adding a few players via trade, including Aaron Rodgers.
Rodgers got injured during their first game of the year, leaving all of their new players hanging.
One of the Jets’ acquisitions was wide receiver Mecole Hardman.
Hardman was slated to be a downfield threat for Rodgers, as his speed is among the fastest in the NFL.
Whether it is because Zach Wilson is his quarterback, or some other reason, Hardman hasn’t seen much playing time for his new team.
As a result, Hardman has voiced that he’d like to return to the field.
According to Rich Cimini, Hardman didn’t seem to care if that was for the Jets or another organization.
Mecole Hardman, inactive last week, says he wants to play, whether it’s for the Jets or someone else. He did not say he has requested a trade. Asked if he’d welcome it, he said he would if it works for both sides. #Jets pic.twitter.com/djqqSWarl1

Despite his recent comments, Hardman has made it abundantly clear that he has not requested a trade.
This has become a common theme lately, as top players have requested trades from their teams, similar to what Rodgers did with the Green Bay Packers.
It appears that Hardman would just like some more playing time, and it doesn’t matter where he gets it.
Hardman does possess game-breaking speed, as evidenced by his time with the Kansas City Chiefs.
However, on both of the NFL teams he has played for, Hardman hasn’t quite found a solid role that suits his game.
Will the Jets move on from Hardman?
