On Friday, the Miami Dolphins added yet another offensive weapon when they signed veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to a one-year contract.
He may be more of a luxury than a necessity for them, but he should be able to give them a legitimate tertiary option in their passing game, which was one thing they lacked.
Beckham was seen celebrating his signing with Dolphins linebacker Duke Riley, who is a fellow New Orleans-area native and former Louisiana State University teammate, per FinsXtra.

Beckham spent last season with the Baltimore Ravens, where he posted 35 receptions, 565 yards and three touchdowns in 14 games while helping them finish with the best record in the league.
He isn’t quite what he was several years ago, mostly due to two torn ACLs he suffered a few years ago, but he can still add another dimension to what was arguably the NFL’s best offense in 2023.
Miami was second in points and first in passing yards in 2023, but their passing attack was heavily dependent on wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.
No one else on their roster had as many as 400 receiving yards, and Beckham could change that while benefitting from the immense defensive attention Hill and Waddle attract from opposing secondaries.
Another familiar face for Beckham on the Dolphins is cornerback Jalen Ramsey, who he played with on the Los Angeles Rams during the 2021 season.
That year, the two won a Super Bowl championship when the Rams survived Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals in the big game, which happened to be played at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, the Rams’ home arena.
