When the Miami Dolphins traded for Tyreek Hill, they hoped he would stay there for the long run.
It wasn’t hard to convince him that they were the right destination for him, as not only did they agree to make him the highest-paid wide receiver in the game, but they also made sure to build their entire offense around him.
That’s why it’s not much of a surprise to see that Hill wants to retire there.
In a recent appearance on the Around the Bar podcast, the former Kansas City Chiefs star stated that he loved the team, his teammates, HC Mike McDaniel, and even the general manager (vis FinsXtra).
“I would like to retire in Miami…I love the team that I play on, I love the guys in the locker room, I love the head coach, love the GM,” Hill said.

Hill has found plenty of success since arriving in South Beach, posting the most impressive numbers around the league and flirting with being the very first wide receiver to surpass the 2,000-receiving yard mark in a single season.
His chemistry with Tua Tagovailoa is one of the best in the league, and he’s embraced a leadership role since he arrived on the premises.
Unfortunately for him, that hasn’t translated into a lot of postseason success, and the Dolphins have yet to prove that they can win at the highest level.
Nonetheless, they will always stand a chance to do something special for as long as he’s out there, especially with McDaniel’s explosive and fast-paced offense.
Also, he has repeatedly stated that he won’t play until he’s old, and retirement might happen sooner than expected for him, so they need to make the most of his talents while they still can.
