With rumors swirling around the Miami Dolphins fan base about a potential sale of the team coming from Owner Stephen Ross, Dolphins President Tom Garfinkel cleared up those rumors over the weekend.
According to Garfinkel (via Pro Football Talk), Ross will not be selling the team.
Here is what Garfinkel told the Palm Beach Post:
“What I can say is that I know unequivocally that the team is not for sale,” the 12th-year president said on Sunday.

With reports of Ross possibly entertaining a $10 billion offer for the Dolphins, Hard Rock Stadium and the Miami F1 Race, fans wanted to get an answer.
Well, Garfinkel just gave it to them.
Unfortunately, the team hasn’t won a whole lot since Ross took over in 2009.
They haven’t won the AFC East since before he took over (2008).
They have made just three playoff appearances in those 15 years with just one coming in between 2009 and 2021.
But, perhaps the team is on to something.
They have made back-to-back playoff seasons in 2022 and 2023 with 20 wins across those couple of years.
It will be up to head coach Mike McDaniel, Pro Bowl quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, Pro Bowl running back Raheem Mostert, and their elite group of wide receivers to do just that.
If they can learn how to win in the cold, they should be able to beat anybody.
After all, both the 2022 and 2023 seasons ended in Buffalo and Kansas City.
With the talent that this team has currently, Stephen Ross might be on the cusp of finally winning a championship in Miami.
