The NFL Draft absolutely delivered this year with all teams improving in a multitude of areas.
However, there are only a handful of teams that made the right picks.
Pro Football Focus just released it’s picks for the best draft selection in each round from this year’s NFL Draft in Detroit.

The Bengals’ selection of Georgia national champion and offensive tackle Amarius Mims was the best selection in round one.
Iowa do-it-all cornerback Cooper DeJean, who went to the Eagles, was the best draft choice in the second round.
Kentucky cornerback Andru Phillips was thought to be a great pick by the Giants in round three.
At pick No. 110 in the fourth round, the Patriots’ choice of All-Big 12 receiver Javon Baker took the cake.
Georgia First-team All-SEC center Sedrick Van Pran was drafted in the fifth round by Buffalo.
LSU All-American defensive tackle Mekhi Wingo, who was taken at pick No. 189 by the Lions, was the top choice by PFF in round six.
Finally, in the seventh round, Kansas State guard KT Leveston was drafted by the Rams at pick No. 254.
These were the seven draft selections that were rated as the best draft choices of each round.
The bigger names in DeJean and Mims should make immediate impacts on the first day as rookies.
But, the beautiful thing about the NFL is that the late-round sleepers are sometimes the best players in the end.
Time will tell to see if players like Van Pran and Wingo can make an impact on the roster.
