It is definitely fair to say that former Lions receiver Calvin Johnson is one of the greatest, most dominant players in NFL history.
However, he was never able to win a Super Bowl.
In fact, he only made the playoffs twice in his 9-year career with no playoff wins.
The Pro Football Hall-of-Famer was asked on Up & Adams Monday about how he feels about not having a Super Bowl ring.
“In Detroit, it was unfortunate…It’s tough not being able to share that moment with your team,” Johnson said.
.@ProFootballHOF WR @calvinjohnsonjr on if it bothers him that he doesn’t have a SB ring…

Ring or no ring, the man they dubbed “Megatron” is one of the greatest players of all time.
Again, he only played 9 NFL seasons.
In those 9 years, he recorded seven 1,000-yard seasons.
He had over 1,000 scrimmage yards in every season, except for his rookie season back in 2007.
Additionally, Johnson holds the NFL record for most receiving yards in a season (1,964) and most consecutive games with 100+ receiving yards (8).
The former All-American at Georgia Tech is also a member of the NFL’s 2010s All-Decade Team.
The Super Bowl is a true team award.
The Detroit Lions had a great tandem in Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson.
But, the team itself was never good enough to make a deep playoff run, and that is not on Johnson.
