One of the spiciest moves of the NFL offseason was when Pro Bowl running back Saquon Barkley left the New York Giants for the rival Philadelphia Eagles.
After signing a three-year deal with a contending team, Barkley should feel reinvigorated and hungry to go be great.
Former Giants wide receiver and Super Bowl champion Plaxico Burress believes this could be Barkley’s best career year.
“This will be Saquon Barkley’s best year as a running back in the NFL,” Burress stated on The Carton Show Tuesday.

The former Penn State star had a nice six-year career with the Giants despite battling injuries.
He had three 1,000-yard rushing seasons and four seasons with at least 1,200 scrimmage yards.
Philadelphia was looking to replace a 1,000-yard back from a season ago in D’Andre Swift, and they got a big fish in the former Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Look for he and Pro Bowl quarterback Jalen Hurts to have a lot of success together.
Especially when fans consider this offense has a couple of Pro Bowl-caliber receivers in A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, look for Nick Sirianni’s offense to take the league by storm this year.
This will be something that Barkley isn’t totally used to.
The Giants only made the playoffs once in his six seasons there.
They also only had one winning season with him there.
Again, other than his health, there isn’t much to blame Barkley for.
He was the best player on the field when healthy, and he will be a great player for the Eagles in 2024.
