The Raiders are always an intriguing team to follow along with.
But one of the quieter moves that they made this year was the addition of veteran wide receiver Michael Gallup.
Gallup comes over to Las Vegas after spending the last six seasons with the Cowboys.
Cowboys legend Dez Bryant was interviewed by Vegas Sports Today and was asked about the Raiders’ decision to sign Gallup.
“That’s a great pickup. I think Davante Adams is going to like him…He’s exactly what the Raiders need…He’s going to be more than a WR3,” the former Pro-Bowler said.

As it stands right now, the current wide receiver core of the Raiders includes Adams, Jakobi Meyers, Gallup, Jalen Guyton and Tre Tucker.
The team also drafted All-American tight end Brock Bowers out of Georgia at pick No. 13 overall a few weeks ago.
But with the addition of Gallup, the Raiders will have somebody who can stretch the field.
Over his final three seasons in Dallas, Gallup didn’t clear 500 yards receiving yards, which is in part due to him not playing a full season in two of those years.
But in his first three NFL seasons (2018-2020), the former All-American recorded over 2,400 receiving yards.
His best career year came in 2018 when he recorded 1,107 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns on 66 receptions.
He is currently averaging a career mark of 14.1 yards per reception.
In other words, he can be a big-time player in big moments.
Look for head coach Antonio Pierce and new offensive coordinator Luke Getsy to really utilize his 4.4 speed.
