In a convincing 34-20 win over the Arizona Cardinals last week, the Cincinnati Bengals finally looked like the team from the past few seasons that was one of the top contenders in the AFC.
Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow threw for 317 yards and two touchdowns, and star Cincinnati wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase had an impressive performance as well, hauling in 15 catches for 192 yards and three scores.
Next on the schedule for the Bengals is a matchup inside their home stadium against a tough Seattle Seahawks team.
Seahawks wide receiver D.K. Metcalf recently shared that he believes Seattle rookie cornerback Devon Witherspoon will “get the best [of Chase]” during this weekend’s game.
In response to those comments, Chase made sure everyone knew he was fully aware of what was said by reposting them on his personal account on Twitter.

This should certainly be an intriguing matchup between the Bengals’ Pro Bowl wide receiver and the Seahawks’ rookie cornerback.
In his short career, Chase has quickly established himself as one of the top receivers in the league, and through five games this season, Witherspoon has the 10th-best defensive PFF grade among qualifying cornerbacks.
Even if Witherspoon is able to shut down Chase on Sunday, Cincinnati still has a good chance to move the ball on offense against a Seattle defense that hasn’t exactly been the second-coming of the “Legion of Boom” this year.
In three of their four games this season, the Seahawks defense has allowed their opponent to accumulate at least 315 passing yards, and this is something that Burrow, Chase, and the rest of the Bengals’ passing attack should be able to take advantage of this weekend.
