Former Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee has made quite a name for himself in his post-playing career, as he’s one of the many professional athletes who have stepped into the media space, providing his unique perspective on sports, namely football.
It didn’t take long for McAfee to make an impact as he has become quite wealthy off the field as a result of how popular his show has become over the last few years.
He recently agreed to a lucrative deal with ESPN, which has come with some criticism due to all the layoffs the company went through, but he’s continued to be highly successful, and one of those reasons is his relationship with superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers of the New York Jets.
Rodgers comes on the show every week to talk about what’s going on with him and other topics in the NFL, which obviously draws quite a crowd and apparently costs a pretty penny, with Andrew Marchand of the New York Post getting McAfee to admit to Rodgers getting paid a significant amount to come on the show, via Ari Meirov.
Aaron Rodgers is receiving more than seven figures per year to come on Pat McAfee’s show every week, per @AndrewMarchand.
“Aaron has made over $1,000,000 with us, for sure,” McAfee said. “To be transparent, Aaron deserves much more than what he’s gotten for the time and effort… https://t.co/McEP108UUx pic.twitter.com/jjre4w1eKo

Hopefully, for McAfee’s sake, the revenue the show is bringing in due to having Rodgers come on regularly is worth the high price tag the Jets quarterback comes with.
It seems that every week Rodgers makes headlines in one way or another for what he says on the show, which should pay for itself considering how many outlets aggregate the content on a daily basis.
