The Washington Commanders appear to have themselves something special in No. 2 overall pick Jayden Daniels.
The former Heisman Trophy winner appeared on the “All Facts No Breaks” podcast recently to tell the world what the franchise is getting in him.
“A competitor and a dog that’s going to do whatever it takes to win,” Daniels said.

Washington selected a player who can do everything from the quarterback position.
He set the world on fire after transferring from Arizona State to LSU in 2022.
In his last two collegiate seasons, he recorded nearly 80 total touchdowns and just 7 interceptions.
His Heisman season last year was particularly impressive as he threw for over 3,800 yards and 40 touchdowns.
He had a completion percentage of 72.2% and only threw 4 interceptions.
His ability to change the game as both a rusher and a passer is what ultimately attracted the Commanders to him at No. 2 overall.
If he wants to change the trajectory of the struggling franchise it will certainly be an uphill battle.
Washington has won just three division titles over the last quarter-century.
They haven’t won an actual playoff game since 2005.
Of course, they have not won a Super Bowl since the 1991 season.
But, they have an experienced head coach in Dan Quinn, who is still searching for a Super Bowl ring as a head coach.
The team also has a lot of veteran experience now after they added the likes of linebacker Bobby Wagner, tight end Zach Ertz, running back Austin Ekeler, and edge-rusher Dante Fowler Jr. this offseason.
Look for this team to be very underrated this season.
