The Los Angeles Rams recently made a quiet move at the wide receiver position by releasing veteran Ben Skowronek.
According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, he was a team captain and a member of their Super Bowl team in 2021.
Now, he will look for a new team after sticking it out for three seasons out in Los Angeles.
The Rams released WR Benny Skowronek, per source. He was a seventh round pick in 2021 and emerged into team captain last year.

The seventh-round pick (pick No. 249) wasn’t anything special, but he did provide Matthew Stafford with a younger, bigger option.
The 6-foot-3 Skowronek had his best season back in 2022 as he caught 39 passes on 61 targets for 376 yards.
He has just two total touchdowns in his young career.
You aren’t going to get much air time while playing behind the likes of Cooper Kupp, Puka Nacua, Robert Woods, Van Jefferson, DeSean Jackson, and Tutu Atwell.
Of course, Skowronek played behind each of those guys in parts of his three years under Sean McVay.
Now, he will look for a new team that has a wide receiver need.
A team like the Chicago Bears could be an option.
Remember, Skowronek is from Fort Wayne, Indiana and went to college at both Northwestern and Notre Dame.
If the Bears are looking for some cheap depth behind the likes of Keenan Allen, DJ Moore, and Rome Odunze, he could fit the bill.
6-foot-3 wide receivers that weigh 225 pounds do not always grow on trees.
Again, at his age and with his experience playing on a Super Bowl-winning team, he should have a job in no time at all.
