J.J. Watt was the most unstoppable defensive player in the NFL when he was in his prime.
Before injuries got to him, he was a physical force of nature not many quarterbacks could shake off.
Notably, Tony Romo was never the most mobile guy, but he was always great at evading sacks and extending plays.
That’s why Watt wanted to make sure to knock him to the ground when the Houston Texans and Dallas Cowboys squared off for Week 5 of the 2014 NFL season.
Watt got loose and was coming right at him at full speed, and the clip shows that Romo never once looked to where he was coming from.
Even so, out of pure instincts, he managed to shake him off, capping it off by throwing a 43-yard bomb for the game-winning touchdown.
Recently, Watt and Romo discussed the play, with the Texans star admitting that Cowboys fans still troll him about that play to this day (via NFL on CBS).
“I get this clip sent to me 250 times a year from Cowboy fans.”
Safe to say @tonyromo had a liiiiitle bit more fun reliving this play than @JJWatt pic.twitter.com/iWDRvcpwH5

That was one of Romo’s most impressive plays of his career.
He has rarely gotten any credit, mostly because of his postseason and late-game shortcomings, but he was also a very good quarterback.
And even though he cannot brag about having a ring, he’ll always have bragging rights over one of the most dominant defensive players this game has ever seen.
