Not so long ago, it seemed like David Njoku didn’t want anything to do with the Cleveland Browns.
Now, the star tight end has become an ambassador and a true member of the city and the community.
Back in the 2024 Pro Bowl, he was matched up with Tyreek Hill against Micah Parsons and Puka Nacua for a Madden game.
There, Parsons took an uncalled-for shot at the city, stating that ‘Cleveland is Cleveland.’
Njoku didn’t have it, and even though time had passed, he still hadn’t forgotten about it.
So, now that he’s about to host a charity softball game, he made sure to send Parsons and anyone who criticized his city a message (via The Dawgs).
“Becoming a man in this city…it means more than what most may think. So with (Micah) Parsons and the other idiot, talking down on Cleveland is something I won’t accept,” Njoku said.
#Browns TE David Njoku continues to be outspoken against the negativity toward Cleveland. This dude has become a true ambassador of the city and embodies everything it means to be a Brown.

Njoku has made amends with HC Kevin Stefanski, and he’s coming off the best season of his career.
He earned that Pro-Bowl selection after logging a career-best 882 receiving yards and six scores in 16 appearances, and that’s despite suffering some major burns right in the midst of the season.
He was the team’s second-best pass catcher behind only Amari Cooper, and even though they’ve added more firepower to their offense with Jerry Jeudy’s arrival, he should still be expected to have a prominent role in Ken Dorsey’s offense for years to come.
More than that, Njoku has grown and matured on and off the field, and he’s become a locker room leader and a fan favorite because of his passion and team-first mentality.
So, you better think twice before dissing Cleveland in front of him.
