The Las Vegas Raiders decided not to draft a quarterback in this year’s NFL Draft.
GM Tom Telesco and Co. are content with both Aidan O’Connell and free agent signee Gardner Minshew.
Telesco recently discussed the team’s quarterback situation on NFL Network.
“That’s the plan is to have both these guys really compete through the offseason program, but more so in training camp, and we’ll see how it plays out,” Telesco stated.

The Raiders are a very interesting team heading into 2024.
They always are fascinating.
However, they don’t have a firm answer and quarterback, and they lost All-Pro running back Josh Jacobs to the Green Bay Packers as a free agent.
But, they still have Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers at receiver.
They also added All-American tight end Brock Bowers in the first round, as well as former 1,000-yard receiver Michael Gallup in the latter stages of free agency.
So, if O’Connell and Minshew are going to compete, they have some guys to help them out.
The former All-Big Ten signal-caller in O’Connell came in to start 10 games as a rookie after the inconsistent play of former quarterback Jimmy Garappolo.
He threw for over 2,000 yards, 12 touchdowns and 7 interceptions leading Las Vegas to a .500 record when he started.
Minshew nearly took the Colts to the playoffs as a starter after he turned in a Pro Bowl season.
He went 7-6 as the starter in place of Anthony Richardson and had a career year in terms of passing yards (3,305) and completions (305).
This is going to be one of the more fascinating position battles in all of the NFL.
