The Los Angeles Chargers made a groundbreaking acquisition this offseason when they were able to pry National Champion head coach Jim Harbaugh away from Michigan to come lead their organization.
As one of the most accomplished coaches of his generation, Harbaugh’s voice carries a ton of weight, and he recently spoke in his press conference to welcome his new rookie class and send them a loud, clear, and thoughtful message.
In his press conference, Harbaugh commended his rookies for making it this far and dealing with whatever circumstances they had in their past to wind up here, saying “Everybody that got here earned it, worked for it” before congratulating all of them and welcoming them to the team.

This was the time when many coaches would act tough and simply send their rookies a warning message about what they’re in for and try to motivate them, but Harbaugh went with the calmer and more heartwarming approach of simply taking the time to commend them for all they have been through to get here and giving them a warm welcome to the franchise.
It’s a completely new era in Los Angeles, and the Chargers are hoping Harbaugh can overhaul an organization that has had a tumultuous few decades filled with injuries, underachievement, and everything in between.
Harbaugh knows how to deal with young players well after coming straight from college football back to the NFL, so there’s no doubt this class of rookies is in good hands.
Welcome back to the NFL, Jim Harbaugh.
