Minnesota Vikings fans might need to wait a little longer for a Justin Jefferson extension.
According to ESPN’s Dan Graziano, an extension for the All-Pro wide receiver might not come until after July 31st due to a signing bonus policy that the Vikings have.
“The Vikings have a policy with their signing bonuses where July 31st is kind of a key date and they might want to wait until after that…So I would preach patience on the Justin Jefferson deal,” Graziano recently stated.

There is no question that the Vikings are going to sign Jefferson to a massive deal.
If they didn’t, it would be one of the more stunning moves in recent memory.
Despite having an injury-shortened 2023 season, he is arguably the best wide receiver in the game.
At just 24 years of age, the three-time All-Pro has everything ahead of him in his career.
The 2022 Offensive Player of the Year has recorded over 1,000 yards in each of his four NFL seasons, including last season despite missing seven games.
Speaking of 2022, he set the NFL on fire that year by leading the league in receptions (128), receiving yards (1,809), and receiving yards per game (106.4).
The former national champion holds multiple NFL records, including most receiving yards in a player’s first four seasons (5,899) and career receiving yards per game (98.3).
It would be in new quarterback J.J. McCarthy’s best interest to get him the ball early and often this year.
Otherwise, he might be out of a job before his career even begins.
But again, Minnesota just needs to lock up their best offensive player since Adrian Peterson.
